Notice for Short Range Team

Send in your qualification targets!

The U.S. International Muzzle Loading Team will hold its Pacific Zone Championship August 4-8, 2025 at the Fairfax Rod & Gun Club in Manassas, VA. As preparation for that match and for those wishing to participate in the next MLAIC World Championship, shooters must submit five targets shot with reproduction firearms and three targets shot with original arms for each desired match.

If a shooter’s scores for a particular event equal the median score of the matches fired in the last MLAIC World Championship the shooter’s entry fees will be paid by the Team. Those competitors who are not qualified but approved will pay their own fees.

Please put your name, date, match name or number, original or reproduction fire arm and weather conditions on all targets. Take a picture of the target(s) and send them to Bob Peloquin, Captain; Bob Lineaweaver, Pistol Lieutenant; or Mark Pafford, Long Arms Lieutenant .

Below is a sample of median scores for some of the most popular events:

Match #5 Cominazzo, flintlock smoothbore pistol, Qualifying scores, Original 70, Repro 83.

Match #6 Kuchenreuter, percussion rifled pistol, Qualifying scores, original 89, Repro 91.

Match #7 Colt, Original revolver only, qualifying score 86.

Match #12 Mariette, Reproduction revolver, 25 meters, qualifying score 89.

Match #23 Donald Malson, 50 meters, qualifying score original 69, repro 72.
