The 2024 World Championships, held in Valeggio sur Mincio, Italy, are now in the record books. Conditions were extremely hot, with temperatures on the firing line well in excess of 100 degrees F. Shooting in those conditions was extremely trying, especially for rifle shooters clad in shooting jackets, trousers, and boots. Nevertheless, the U.S. team came away with two Silver and six Bronze medals, a creditable performance considering the conditions.
